berry sorbet

It's summer. I kinda of hate summer. I'm in Oklahoma where it's been in the 100s the last week or so and I just hate it. But it gives me an awesome excuse to stay in and make sorbet!

I got the idea and the basic recipe from not without salt. It's delicious. Here's how:

First, make a simple syrup:
3/4 cups water
1/4 cup honey
1 cup sugar
Bring to boil. Turn off heat. Put in fridge until cool. (This will make a lot of syrup.)
Then, make sorbet:
1 cups frozen raspberries
1/2 cup frozen blackberries
1/4 cup syrup
Put everything in the blender and process until smooth. It may take adding some water to get it smooth. Put in an airtight container in the fridge until it's firm. Top with whipped cream, or whatever you like. Enjoy.

I think I'm going to try making it with ginger syrup this week or next- that sounds really good.
